  • 2 cans 21 oz each apple pie filling

Topping

  • 1 box 15.25 oz yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  • Spread the apple pie filling evenly in the bottom of the prepared cake pan. If desired, sprinkle with ground cinnamon for added flavor.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix with melted butter. Stir until the mixture becomes crumbly.
  • Evenly distribute the crumbly cake mixture over the apple pie filling. If using, sprinkle chopped pecans over the top.
  • Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 50 minutes. The top should be golden brown and the apple filling bubbling.
  • Allow the cobbler to cool for 10 minutes before serving. This will help the filling set slightly.
