Equipment

  • 1 Baking Sheet lined with parchment paper
  • 1 Mixing Bowl large
  • 1 electric mixer optional

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Add-Ins

  • 3/4 cup white chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup dried cranberries

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter with granulated sugar and light brown sugar until light and fluffy. This should take about 2-3 minutes.
  • Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined and smooth.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Gently fold in the white chocolate chips and dried cranberries, ensuring even distribution throughout the dough.
  • Cover the dough and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to prevent spreading during baking.

Serving

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

Storage

  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
