Equipment

  • 1 muffin tin lined with cupcake liners
  • 1 electric mixer
  • 1 Mixing Bowl large

Ingredients

Cupcake Batter

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Decorations

  • Chocolate chips
  • Red candy
  • Pretzels
  • Chocolate frosting

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  • Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners and fill each liner two-thirds full with batter. Smooth the tops with a spatula.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cupcakes to cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Decorating

  • Once cooled, spread chocolate frosting over each cupcake using a spatula or piping bag for a smoother finish.
  • Place two chocolate chips on each cupcake for eyes, a red candy for the nose, and insert pretzels at the top for antlers. Arrange decorations evenly to create a reindeer face.

Serving

  • Arrange the decorated cupcakes on a festive platter and serve them at your holiday gathering. Enjoy the praise from your guests!

Storage

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week. Allow chilled cupcakes to come to room temperature before serving for best flavor.
