Equipment

  • 1 9-inch square baking pan greased and lined with parchment paper
  • 1 electric mixer
  • 1 Mixing Bowl large

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Decoration

  • 16 mini pretzels
  • 16 candy eyes
  • 8 red M&Ms

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the melted butter and sugar until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, cut into 8 equal squares.

Serving

  • For each brownie, place two pretzels at the top for antlers, and use a dab of frosting to attach candy eyes and a red M&M for the nose.
  • Arrange the decorated brownies on a festive platter and serve at room temperature.

Storage

  • Store any leftover brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. For longer storage, place in the refrigerator for up to a week.
