Equipment

  • 1 9x13-inch baking dish greased
  • 1 Mixing Bowl large
  • 1 electric mixer

Ingredients

Brownie Batter

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Peanut Butter Swirl

  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • In a small bowl, mix the peanut butter and sugar until smooth.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish. Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture onto the batter. Use a knife to swirl the peanut butter through the chocolate.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow the brownies to cool in the pan on a wire rack. This helps them set and makes cutting easier.

Serving

  • Once cooled, cut the brownies into squares or rectangles and serve.

Storage

  • Store any leftover brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days. For longer storage, refrigerate for up to a week or freeze for up to 3 months.
