  • 1 electric mixer
  • 1 Mixing Bowl large

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs room temperature

Milk Mixture

  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Topping

  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, softened butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Use an electric mixer to blend them until smooth.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let it cool completely.

Tres Leches Mixture

  • In another bowl, combine evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and heavy cream. Stir until well mixed.
  • Once the cake is cool, use a fork to poke holes all over the cake. Slowly pour the milk mixture over the cake, ensuring it is evenly absorbed.

Assembly

  • Using a cookie cutter, cut the soaked cake into small circles. Place each piece into a mini dessert cup.
  • Top each mini cup with whipped cream and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon. Optionally, add fresh fruit for garnish.

Serving

  • Refrigerate the mini cups for at least 1 hour before serving to enhance the flavors. Serve chilled.

Storage

  • Store any leftover mini cups in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
