  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well until combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Add green food coloring, a few drops at a time, until the desired shade of green is achieved.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Allow cooling on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
