Equipment

  • 1 9x13 inch baking pan lined with parchment paper
  • 1 Mixing Bowl large
  • 1 microwave-safe bowl

Ingredients

Brownie Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Ghost Topping

  • 12 large marshmallows
  • 4 ounces white chocolate melted
  • Black decorating gel or mini chocolate chips

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper. In a large mixing bowl, beat together melted butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan.
  • While the brownies cool, melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  • Place a marshmallow on top of each brownie. Drizzle melted white chocolate over the marshmallows, letting it drip down to create ghost shapes.
  • Use black decorating gel or mini chocolate chips to add eyes and a mouth to each marshmallow ghost.

Serving

  • Once the chocolate has set, cut the brownies into squares and serve on a festive platter for your Halloween party.

Storage

  • Store any leftover brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week.
