Equipment

  • 1 Baking Sheet lined with parchment paper
  • 1 stand mixer or hand mixer
  • 1 Mixing Bowl medium

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup rainbow sprinkles

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until combined. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Gently fold in the sprinkles.
  • Cover the mixing bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the dough for 10 minutes. This will help the cookies maintain their shape during baking.

Serving

  • Once the cookies have cooled completely, serve them on a platter or tiered stand for a delightful presentation. Enjoy with a glass of milk or your favorite beverage.

Storage

  • Store the cooled cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For longer storage, consider freezing the cookies in a freezer-safe bag for up to 3 months.
