Equipment

  • 1 9x13-inch baking dish greased and lined with parchment paper
  • 1 Mixing Bowl large
  • 1 electric mixer

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Add-ins

  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • In a large bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Use an electric mixer to beat until well combined. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring just until combined.
  • Gently fold the chocolate chips into the batter, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout.

Serving

  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until edges are set and center remains slightly gooey. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Once cooled, cut the brownies into squares. Serve them on their own, or with a scoop of ice cream for an elevated dessert experience.

Storage

  • Store any leftover brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze them in a single layer and then transfer to a freezer-safe bag.
