Ingredients
  

Brownie Batter

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, sugar, and vanilla extract. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Divide the batter into three bowls. Add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl and mix until the desired color is achieved. Pour the colored batters into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, swirling them together gently. Bake for 25-30 minutes.

Serving

  • Allow the brownies to cool completely before decorating. Use icing to draw spooky shapes and add candy eyes and sprinkles for a festive touch. Slice and serve on a platter for guests to enjoy.
