Equipment

  • 1 9x13 inch baking pan greased
  • 1 Mixing Bowl large
  • 1 Whisk

Ingredients

Brownie Batter

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Toppings

  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup chopped pretzels
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, melt the butter, then stir in the granulated sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Drizzle with half of the caramel sauce and sprinkle with half of the chopped pretzels.
  • Add the remaining brownie batter on top, smoothing it out. Drizzle with the remaining caramel sauce and sprinkle with the remaining pretzels and chocolate chips.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Let the brownies cool in the pan on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before slicing.

Serving

  • Cut the cooled brownies into squares and serve with a scoop of ice cream or a cup of coffee for a delightful treat.

Storage

  • Store any leftover brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For longer storage, refrigerate for up to a week.
