Brownie Batter

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

Cookie Dough

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Gradually stir in cocoa powder, flour, and baking powder until just combined.
  • In a separate bowl, cream softened butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract. Gradually add flour, baking soda, and salt. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

Serving

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using a cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of brownie batter onto the sheet. Top each with a scoop of cookie dough and gently press together. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are set. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
