Equipment

  • 1 9-inch round cake pan greased and lined
  • 1 Mixing bowls set of two
  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 Spatula

Ingredients

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Optional Add-ins

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Mix until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, sift together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined. Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts if using.
  • Grease a 9-inch round cake pan and line it with parchment paper. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Serving

  • Preheat the air fryer to 325°F. Place the pan in the air fryer basket and cook for 20-25 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center; it should come out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice into wedges and serve with ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.

Storage

  • Once completely cooled, store any leftover brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days. For longer storage, wrap tightly and freeze for up to 3 months.

Notes

Pro Tips: Use room temperature eggs for better mixing. Do not overmix the batter to avoid tough brownies.
Ingredient Substitutions: You can use brown sugar instead of granulated sugar for a deeper flavor. Substitute walnuts with pecans if preferred.
How to Serve: Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce for an extra indulgent dessert.
Storage & Freshness: Keep brownies in an airtight container to retain moisture. Freeze for longer storage.
Make-Ahead Tips: Prepare the batter in advance and store in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before baking.
